You can then close your eyes, relax, and have a mini-break from the stress around you. You can listen to each episode as often as you need to.

HypnoSOS episode 52 – Simply Relax

Sitting down or lying down… it doesn’t matter which… you can make yourself comfortable now… rest in a neutral position… but if you need to move around during this process, you can and you will… it won’t disturb you… just as when you move around in your sleep… In a few moments in time… in a few moments in time… I’d like you just to take three deep breaths… in your own time… three deep breaths… and as you do, I’d like you to be aware of your breath… breathing in… and out… and paying attention to a process that happens without conscious thought… but as you pay attention to it, you will already notice that your breathing has changed… your breathing has become deeper… and it will continue to deepen… and you can forget about it… just as you do each and every moment, or even when you are asleep… this process continues… without thought… breathing deeply… breathing appropriately… taking in that which you need and… letting go of that which you have used and no longer require… and just as it is with your breathing, it is with your thoughts and your feelings… taking in from your surroundings that which you need… and will be useful to you… and letting go… of that which has no further use… and all of this in terms of your thoughts and your feelings happens without you having to do anything additional at all… you will not even be aware of the thoughts and the feelings as you take them in… and let them go… and all the while you can find that your mind can drift… and your thoughts can wander… no need to pay attention to either because your breath will bring to you that which you need in order to relax in these moments… Your breath will allow you to let go… of anything that has no use in helping you to relax… in these moments…

And in a few moments in time… in a few moments in time I’m going to ask you to take a deep breath in… and hold it… so you can release it when you hear me say the word nowww… and when this happens… you will be aware of a warmth in the muscles of your chest and shoulders… as the relaxation can spread all the way through… so ready… take a deep breath in and hold… hold… hold… and nowww… let that breath go… all the way through you… releasing any unnecessary nervous tension and with your next breath in taking in deeply anything from these moments that will help you to relax even further… ever deeper… ever deeper… ever deeper still… and you can allow this feeling of peace to spread from the muscles of your chest and shoulders… through your arms… all the way through your body… all the way through… allowing you to go ever deeper… ever deeper… ever deeper still… into these moments of peace… deeper… deeper… deeper still… deeper… deeper… deeper still… allow your mind to a moment to remember how good it feels to just let go… in these moments… and if there are any areas of tension or unease… you can breathe deliberately into these parts of you… breathing in… relaxed sensations… feelings of ease… breathing out tension or discomfort… let it go… and you can and you will go deeper… deeper… deeper still… deeper… deeper… deeper… deeper… deeper still…

You may notice that… in these moments… you can experience a slight although oh so pleasant sensation of floating or drifting… drifting or floating ever deeper… ever deeper… ever deeper still… ever deeper… deeper… deeper still… take a moment… another deep breath… in your own time… to recharge your body with relaxation… another still to recharge your mind with positive thoughts… and yet another to recharge your feelings… reset them… that you can look forward and be positive… drawing on the good things around you… remembering what’s important each and every day… and above all else… take a moment to remember… that you have choice over your thoughts… you have choice over your feelings… you have choice over your actions… and taking a moment to take a deep breath in the situations where in the past your thoughts or feelings or actions perhaps were not as appropriate as you would have wished… by taking that deep breath you can relax… in the moment… and see it clearly… hear it appropriately… feel it in the way that it needs to be experienced… with perspective… with a sense that even if it’s bad, this too will pass… and if it’s good, to breathe it in as fully as you can… to absorb it… to make it part of your memory… to remember the positive… to appreciate the relaxation… to recognise when things are going well… and gather all of this to you… to help you to relax… to be in the moment… to enjoy what you’re doing right nowww… and you can always remember… you are in control…

And in a few moments in time… in a few moments in time, you will hear me count from 1 to 10… and at the count of 8 your eyes will naturally and easily open… and at the count of 10 you will be fully wide awake… all normal, healthy and appropriate sensations and responses will be back with you… and you can bring the relaxation and positivity and the clarity into your day… so ready… 1… 2… 3… more aware… 4… 5… 6… more alert… 7… 8… eyes open, wide open… 9 and 10… have a good stretch… rest a moment… enjoy the rest of the day.
