Practice your diagnostic skills with realistic client simulation (Pathway 2 only)
Including structured trainer feedback, this allows students to practise diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills in a way that closely reflects real therapeutic work while remaining safe and level-appropriate.
• The chatbot has two roles. First, it behaves like a client with a specific problem. Later, it acts as a trainer and provides feedback.
• When acting as a client, the chatbot only uses information and behaviours that match the Level 2 or 3 course content. Students are never tested on material they have not yet learned.
• The client responses are realistic and sometimes incomplete, just like real clinical conversations. This encourages careful listening, thoughtful questioning, and accurate assessment.
• The chatbot does not guide or correct the student during the client interaction. Students must use their own diagnostic skills to decide what is relevant and what to explore further.
• The main focus is on developing good assessment and clinical reasoning skills before choosing any therapeutic approach.
• After the interaction, the chatbot switches to trainer mode. It gives clear, structured feedback linked directly to Level 2 learning objectives.
• Feedback may cover areas such as questioning style, use of language, pacing, and overall clinical decision-making.
• Students can repeat sessions as often as needed, helping them build confidence and consistency in their clinical approach.
• This chatbot bridges the gap between theory and practice, preparing students for real client work while staying within safe, professional boundaries.
